Temperatures generally fluctuate between 10 and 20 degrees Celsius, but can warm up suddenly in April and May.

Dazaifu Tenmangu Shrine (Fukuoka)

The shrine is famous as a god of learning.
About 6,000 ume (Japanese apricot) trees are planted in the precincts of the temple, and their pretty pink flowers bloom.
Various stores line the street from the station to Tenmangu Shrine, where you can enjoy eating and shopping.

Kumamoto Castle (Kumamoto Prefecture)

Along with Nagoya Castle and Osaka Castle, it is one of the "Three Great Castles of Japan" and is a magnificent castle with a long history.
About 800 cherry trees of three different kinds are in full bloom.

Kujyu Flower Park (Oita)

Located on the Kusumi Plateau in the Aso National Park, it offers a beautiful view of the Kujyu mountain range and the Aso Gogaku mountains in the background.
The national park also has camping sites that can be used without any supplies.

Kawachi Toen (Fukuoka Prefecture)

The wisteria garden was selected as one of the "31 Most Beautiful Places in Japan.
They bloom beautifully from late April to early May.
It is a spot of overwhelming scale with the longest "wisteria tunnel" of 110 meters and "large wisteria trellises" of approximately 1,000 tsubo.

Kuroki no Oto (Fukuoka)

The vast wisteria trellises in Susanoo Shrine and the large wisteria tree, more than 600 years old, are spectacularly beautiful.
Its large wisteria is a national natural monument.

Suizenji Seishuen (Kumamoto)

The Daimyo Garden is located in the center of Kumamoto.
It is a graceful garden where you can walk around in a circle around the park.
Take your time.

Nagasaki Peace Park

I hope that a tragic war will never happen again.
It is a place to think and pray about war.
May peace prevail throughout the world.
