Japanese "school bags" are popular overseas!?

To Japanese people, a randoseru is a bag that elementary school students use to carry their school supplies, and it may seem strange to see someone other than an elementary school student using a randoseru, but this does not seem to be the case overseas.

Why are school bags so popular overseas?
-As you all probably know, Japanese anime is famous around the world, but it all started when the school bags carried by the children in the anime became a hot topic, with people saying how cute they were.

-A popular American actress was photographed carrying a school bag, causing quite a stir.

-School bags are designed to be quite lightweight so that children can carry their school supplies with them every day.

- A4 size documents and books can be stored with ease. It is practical and made of leather, so it is very durable.

For these reasons, Japanese school bags seem to be popular overseas.

For Japanese people, the idea of a randoseru is that it's something that elementary school students use, but for foreigners, they are popular with people of all ages because they are "cute," "stylish," "unique," and "practical."

However, in Japan, there are an increasing number of elementary school students who do not use randoseru. There are also foreigners who live in Japan and send their children to Japanese elementary schools, but some schools do not use randoseru.
Please contact the elementary school before enrolling or transferring.
