Temperature and Clothing

Summer in Hokkaido is from July to September.
The average temperature in Sapporo is about 21 degrees Celsius. There is little humidity and it is comfortable.
Long sleeves are recommended as it gets cold in the morning and evening. It is a good protection against insects when going to the mountain forest.

Ningle Terrace (Furano City)

It is a shopping road lined with log houses.
The warmth of the trees can be felt in the log house, which houses a craft store and a coffee house. Spend a relaxing time in the great outdoors.

Tomamu Sea of Clouds

The season when sea of clouds can be seen is from spring to autumn.
It is from May to October. The incidence is high at dawn, though, so you need to get up early,
The sea of clouds at sunrise is a wonderful sight.

Otaru Music Box Hall

It is a music box specialty store based in Otaru.
Music boxes can also be made.

Noboribetsu Date Jidai Mura

A theme park in Noboribetsu.
Visitors can experience the culture and customs of the Edo period and have their pictures taken with ninja and princess costumes.
You can also learn shuriken and archery.

Hokkaido Greenland (Iwamizawa City)

This amusement park is about an hour's drive from Sapporo and Asahikawa.
There are also attractions for toddlers and older.
Most of the attractions are available even in the rain.

Lake Nodori (Abashiri City)

It is the largest coral grass colony in Japan, covered with bright red coral grass from late August to September.

Sahoro Resort Bear Mountain (Northern Tokachi)

This is a safari park dedicated to brown bears, where you ride a bus to get close to the bears.
During the Golden Week in May and in the summer, there is a "Night Tour" where you can explore at night!

Cape Kamui (Shakotan-gun)

Enjoy the Shakotan blue sea by sea kayak!
You can explore above the sea with views of 100-meter-high cliffs.
