Coming-of-Age Ceremony is an important traditional event in Japan to celebrate people who have turned 20 years old. It is held on the second Monday of January and is a symbolic event where people officially join the ranks of adults! In fact, due to the revision of the Civil Code in 2022, the age of adulthood will be raised to 18.
